The department was started in the year 1997 and has highly skilled, qualified and experienced faculty members. With an annual intake of 60 students The department has been progressively working towards producing masters who are well equipped to serve the needs of the present and the future industry requirement and in turn contributing to the society.

Curriculum
Some of the more important subjects include: Software Engineering, OOD, Computer Organization and Architecture, Unix, System Programming, DBMS, Computer Graphics, Client/Server, Wireless & Mobile Communication, Web Applications, Microprocessors.

Current industrial requirements like C, C++, LINUX, Java, VB, Oracle, COBOL.

Digital electronics laboratory: Digital Trainer Kit ,ICs and IC Testers.

Well equipped lab with 24 hrs free internet facility (Two dedicated ISDN 64Kbps leased lines) available to students and all the 30 PCs interconnected through a high speed LAN

Pentium IV, 40 GB Hard disk & 256 MB RAM (LINUX Server).

Pentium III, 40 GB Hard disk & 128 MB RAM (Nodes).

Licensed software includes Windows NT, RED HAT LINUX 8.0, Office XP, Visual studio 6.0, Oracle8i, Java, C, C++.

Full fledged library with latest technical, non-technical, international books and journals
like IEEE publication.

Separate reading rooms and seminar hall with comfortable seating arrangement and
sophisticated equipment.
